The pub no longer exists. It once stood about 35 feet west of a house that is now numbered 19 Clewer Fields. Brian Dixon, who used to live in Clewer Fields, tells me that the pub was locally known as 'The Flying Pisspot'. This came about as the odd late night scrap took place outside the pub and a nearby neighbour was a dab hand at emptying her bed chamber pot out of her window, over the offending regulars! Nice.... |
