history: | 1978 > Info
from Michael Waite - Martin & Maureen Sayer were landlords
here from about 1978-1999, prior to that they hran The
Black Horse in Dedworth.
The Blue was a brilliant place to eat and drink with a good regular crowd. Martin & Maureen were the perfect hosts, providing everything expected of a proper pub. Martin had lots of bits from Heathrow airport, large model aeroplanes etc. Always a friendly welcome, lots of great memories, I pretty much lived there for some years!! I think I paid for most of Martin's holidays by filling up his fruit machine.
